Of all time? Has to be Bradman, no-one else comes close (and his average was 99.94 - see link below). In more recent times, you have to include Lara, Tendulkar and Ponting in the list, also guys like Yousuf who's set a record for the number of 100's in a season, and even Adam Gilchrist, who revolutionised the wicketkeeping position. One question, why hasn't anyone mentioned any bowlers? One's just retired with 700+ Test wickets (Warne), and another one will probably get over 800 before he retires (whether his action is legitimate or not is a whole another posting though).
