I don't think there's much to debate. They're the best band ever. Behind Blue Eyes is the best song ever. These are FACTS.

Best song ever is See Me, Feel Me, Touch Me, Heal Me. But I remember the early days - My Generation was brilliant. I saw them play at a festival in SE England years ago and they were great. Now Keith Moon is dead, so is John Entwhistle, Pete Townsend is up on internet charges, and Roger Daltrey lives just down the road as a sort of country squire, making some money from fish farming. Oh to be back in the early 60s!

An absolutely AWSOME band! They made many timeless wonders, yet were shafted by the BBC and the establishment in general, strangely not really making it to #1 in the charts, despite their great success.
The first time I truely appreciated the genius of John Entwistle was about 10 years ago when The Who played at Earls Court. He did what must have been a 5 minute solo on 5:15 - my jaw just dropped. Gawd, what a moment! Sadly missed, along with Keef. R.I.P.
I was once fortunate enough to visit Rogers house. I was introduced to him by a mutual friend at his then trout farm. I was invited back and he loaned me his personal VHS copy of Quadrophenia, and gave me a few CDs & audio cassettes. His words were "You can keep them, but I want the video back!". A truely down to earth guy who's fame and fortune clearly hasn't gone to his head.
I've met both of Pete's brothers too, who are equally as down to earth as anyone else you'd meet. Bang on.
Back to the band, their latest album is quite different to the old work. It's not to everyones taste, but some of it is good. It's one of those songs you just have to keep listening to and slowly it grows...

The best thing about living! Good music, good band, good singer, good guitarist, good bassist and of course good drummer! Good original songs, good covers, good showmen! Who's Next is blatently the best album I have ever heard! Can't wait to see them live yay!
