Romantic: One Fine Day, Christmas in Connecticut (really romantic!!! Has to be the most romantic movie I've ever seen)
Sad: The Searchers(I cry ever time), Schindler's List(I cry here also), Legends of the Fall, Awakenings(tearjerker), Whalerider(must see), Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, The Color Purple(really sad), Fried Green Tomatoes(even more sad)

"a walk to remember" is both romantic and sad. this is a touching movie if that's what you are looking for.
"how to lose a guy in 10 days" is a very romantic movie. it shows how much you should appreciate the things you have before its gone.
"50 1st dates" is a romantic comedy. it teaches us that no matter the hardship, love will always conquer all.

Romantic - Breakfast at Tiffany's and Pretty Woman. Sad - Imitation of Life. I don't cry easily but that movie makes me cry every time I see it. It stars Sandra Dee and Lana Turner. Love that movie!!
