Ok. I have been having abdominal cramps on and off now for about three weeks. I had light back pain and nausea and have been to three different ER'S. They all tell me the only thing wrong is I have a UTI [Urinary Tract Infection] I knew that already because I always get them but never have symptoms of it. Anyhow I think something else is going on here and even my dr said I do not have a UTI and did a ultreasound on my gall bladder. They seen nothing and did cat scans on my belly at hospital and also they seen nothing. Has anyone else had pain like this and found out later on there was in fact something? Right now I feel like total crap. I am on my period but feels like I have the flu but thats all normal I guess being on your period. Someone please help. I feel like complete crap and I just want these damn hospitals to do something for me instead of always sending me home. Also bladder problems run in my family such has bladder disease and etc.

Also. I can get a pretty good appetite and there are days like today that I cant eat without feeling like I am going to throw up. I had a baby 5 1/2 months ago naturaly and weighed like 120-125 afterwards and weighed 110 before getting pregnant and today I weighed myself and I am at 140. So I am worried about the gaining weight so fast when I have always been able to eat like a horse lol and not gain very much at all.

I was going to say something like an ovarian cyst, but since you have had a ultrasound already, that's probably not the case. I would make an appointment with an gynocologist,it sounds like something is going on with your ovaries perhaps. Also you may have middleschmertz which is ovulation pain.

ER's can only treat you while you are right there, hon. Sometimes tracking down a problem requires time.
Get a general Physician as your home base doctor who gets to see you regularly. Get a referral from him for both a Urologist and a Gynecologist.
My abdominal pain was both my Endomitriosis and Kidney stones last year... so I dealt with both. If you do have a UTI, you'll need to take your antibiotics completely and wait it out. ...But it takes a specialist to check you properly for the kinds of things I have.
I have had my gallbladder removed. If your urine goes brown and your feces light to white while you are in scream at the top of your lungs kind of pain - get to an ER immediately. That's a blocked gallbladder and it can kill you. You would also have intolerable burning pain in your stomach that an antacid could not stop, for days before.
Get thee to a regular doctor that has time to pursue your troubles, hon.
Peace.
Good luck

i would never go to an ER for problems like that (personally) because you leave feeling like you weren't really takin care of...it could be a number of things...maybe cysts on your ovaries....they cause you pains a couple weeks before your period and sometimes all through out the month...did they do an ultrasound on your ovaries too? If you really feel it is something else...I would definately go to a different doctor and get a second opinion....good luck

It doesn't sound like you have any big tumors or anything like that since you have had a lot of tests. If your urine tests clean you don't have a uti. Have you had a pelvic ultrasound to check for other pelvic problems like ovarian cysts, they may not have seen them on the cat scan. Also you may think about stomach problems like gastritis or ulcers, that can sometimes give those symptoms. You have to be persistent with these things since you are the one who knows your body. good luck

I had similar symptoms, with bad periods, cramps, etc after finally finding a great OB he found active dysplasia (a form of uterine cancer), through a specific pap smear test, but i dont know the name of the test. After it was removed (simply putting me to sleep & using a lazer to remove the spots) I felt wonderful. Ask to be tested for this. Hope this helps. As for the weight gain & appitite have your thyroid tested. Your regular doctor can do this with a simple blood test

I am so sorry to hear that your feeling awful, I would like to suggest that perhaps it's cysts on your fallopian tube walls, or your uterus, or even some fibroid lesions as well that may have formed, Maybe even some kidney stones are to blame for this as well. I'm so very sorry, that I don't have any more answers for you, but I do hope and pray that you don't feel like this for very much longer, Please take care, and don't let this drag on any longer if you don't have to, speedy recovery.
