I have a ton of these files on my C: drive, they dont take any space on the drive but i want to delete them so i dont have to scroll down far to find stuff. Here's a list of some of them...They go from "PR1A0.tmp" to "PRFF.tmp" with many different numbers besides 1...they go to "PR199.tmp" and then from "PRA0.tmp" to "PRA9.tmp" and then "PRAA.tmp" to "PRFF". What do i do with them and can i delete them safely? i don't want to run diskcleanup because one time it made windows crash and i had to reinstall it, but luckily, i didn't have to reactivate it...i just want less stuff in the C: drive. Also, can i delete "aolconnfix", which is a text document and a utility(i don't use AOL) and "DVDPATH", which is also a text document. I also need to know if i can delete "twacker" and "YServer"(both also text documents.

Yes, all of the above can be removed.

Anything that ends with .tmp is a TEMP file and can be removed without impacting any program.

The tmp are temporary files, you should be able to delete those without a problem. As for AOL, got to your control panel and look under add or remove programs and see if you have any AOL software installed there. Click uninstall to remove all AOL associated folders. Text documents are not system files, so you should not need them unless there are instructions in the text file you need for running a piece of software.
