I had this problem pretty much everytime i shaved until I bought a bottle of Johnson's baby lotion. I use this everytime I shave and it always leaves my skin redness free, bump free and very smooth and soft...like a babies butt!

Shave less often and use cream after you shave. Try one of those 4 or 5 blade razors and change the blade often.
And I hate to say it because at tiimes they can be a real pain but nylons will may most legs look good.

Lots of good lotion, with Vitamin E helps, and the Veet shave gel with the Bladless Razor works really well too. Make sure your razor isnt too dull. Cause if it is it will leave marks and red bumps on your legs from it being so dull. and did I say lots of lotion? lol
Hope that helps a little.

how does it look sickening? razor burns? bumps? ingrown hair?
do you use shaving gel?
i also use the venus razor....
to prevent ingrown hair, exfoliate, often!...
and put on some sheer lotion after shower, nothing heavy though
i've been using the bbw body butter on my legs, i don't think it's any good at all...gives me bumps, maybe because it blocks the pores
i'm going back to normal lotion after i'm done with it =/
try tweezing the thick hair? it might hurt first couple times, but you get used to it...
squeeze your skin together when you tweeze, it makes the pain less....
i personally love tweezing, i think it's fun and after the first couple times it doesn't hurt at all. at least for me.
just like tweezing eyebrows hurt the most the first time....

Try lotion afterwards and always make sure you use some sort of lubericant such as bar soap, body wash, or shaving cream. Always use a clean, sharp razor, too.

Shave with the grain first, the direction you hair points, so from top to bottom, and after shave against the grain if it wont get irritated.

Do you cut your legs when you shave or are they really dry? If you cut yourself, you should get bending razors, and if they are really dry like mine, apply lotion every day in winter until it clears up. ^-^
I hope my answer answered your question

always put on lotion afterwards and exfoliate 24 hours before. it doesn't have to be 24 hours, just the day before you shave, or every day.
