I think the old laugh tracks were amusing...when they werent able to fade them out so all the laughter would just stop abruptly.

Do you mean taped, dubbed in laughter like the audience is so amused? It's called a laugh track. Annoying, isn't it?

No it's unnecessary. I mean if you have to tell people when to laugh, then what's the point? If you can't find the humor and need a laugh track, what does that say? Some times that canned laugh sounds forced, and to me it makes the show look and sound pathetic.

Yeah.. sometimes people miss the jokes without it.

But its weird.. it doesn't bother me whatsoever if I'm watching the show but if I'm just listening to a T.V. w/o watching it its like nails on a chalkboard ahhh!

I'm a follower, and like to be cued to what I should find amusing...actually aren't most shows getting away from that?
