If you support the troops, which I see on every suv you people drive, than why dont you think they should come home? Military action is to eliminate an enemy, not bring peace and democracy to a nation. Bush was rejected from law school and cant fix his own country,so why do you still think he is gonna bring democracy to the middle east? He doesnt even follow our own constitution that made our country the democratic nation it is, or was.How ever you want to look at it.

Our plan is to complete the mission. By eliminating an enemy, you can bring peace and stability. You are obviously embarrassed by the liberal plans (there is about 17 at last count) which are to tell the enemy our plans, then just cut and run. That would be a slap in the face to those who died serving our country.

It is funny that Democrats are able to castigate US leadership on the one hand for maintaining peacekeeping troops in Iraq, while at the same time screaming that we should be doing more to end rape, torture and genocide in the Horn of Africa. (note that these are all the things that we stopped and have continued to stop in Iraq).

Unfortunately, we live in the grown-up world here, where merely saying "now don't do that again" to bad-people is not enough. After WWII we occupied Germany and Japan for approximately 10 years each (into the mid 1950's). This was to de-Nazify and de-Tojofy these countries... in other words, to prevent others from the ruling parties during the war from picking up where the deposed leaders left off. It is certainly messy and dangerous business for our troops, but in this grown-up world of ours sometimes we have to do things that are right... and not just clean and easy.

I agree.

The only "plan" Bush has is to get his presidency over with and hand the problem to his democratic successor.
