The best person the interpret a dream is yourself. Everyone's different... so the same dream could mean something totally different when dreamed by another.

From what I read... other's opinion is important, even if you don't know them. That's what I get from your answers.

AND, also, has anyone thought of using a symbol's dictionnary instead of a dream's dictionnary???

Then why are there psyc books about dream interpretation? That is a better question. Furthermore to answer your question I think psychology and psychologist make regular people think they don't know their own hearts and minds as well as they think they do which makes them ask others what do YOU think it means? Does that make any sense?

People are unsure as to how to interpret a dream. They always think there is some deep hidden meaning in a dream. Dreams that occur over and over could be troubling and the person doesn't understand why, in that time of their life, could they be having such a dream. They are just hoping somebody might have an answer for them. I personally have not dreamed in a long time and I don't know why. I think I sleep too hard to remember if I dreamed or not.

Some dreams have a clear meaning but most don't.

the reason dreams are coded symbols is because we really don't want to know what we are struggling with sometimes but our subconscious tries to alleviate our anxiety in a dream.
For this reason sometimes we need an opinion of someone else that is informed about dreams and won't need a Crystal ball to figure it out.

I think people ask because they want an opinion from someone that doesn't know them or is removed from the situation . Also I think people usually want to gain from other people's knowledge as some people have been taught dream interpretation or taken classes in psychology. I think analyzing dreams is very interesting.... sometimes it gives an interesting glimpse into our minds and our subconscious.

Good luck!

I don't know dreams are more a way (to me) for your brain, emotions and body to build off some of the stress that was put on it and for your brain to process certain things like: something you been thinlking about, wanting, saw or heard etc.
I don't think you should even interpret dreams unless their from GOD (you will know when that is the case). Everyone's interpretation is different.

hmmmmmmm... i've actually asked about one of my dreams before, only on yahoo answers though.
some dreams are just so weird or confusing it's hard to try to interpret it yourself, so many people try to see if someone with experience in that field can help.
good luck!

dreams are your unconscious mind...
im a psych major.. and the way i see it is...
dream of something bad... its something you really dont want to happen... and you are reminding yourself of how you'll feel if it does happen
dreaming of something good... this is what you want out of life... or something that happened that you enjoyed... memories...
dreaming of something you "have never even seen" ... something you saw... but it went unnoticed. you didnt care to see it at the time.. but it was important.. your dreams will tell you why
having nightmares when you are stressed... i believe... is a way for your mind to tell you to slow down...
you learn a lot about yourself in your dreams... listen to them
dont ignore them... dont laugh at them

the human mind is so complex...
