There is a movie named Louisiana (1984), with Margot Kidder (Lois Lane). If you can find it, it does deal with the era you are talking about:

Gone With The Wind deals with Reconstruction, although most historians would argue it takes great liberties with historical fact. I will not even get into Birth of A Nation, which drives a truck over historical fact.

O Brother Where Art Thou is a very entertaining film, but set during the Great Depression. About 70 years too late.
