hey, i'm an intern for Elle magazine, and a fashion student.. macys has REALLY good dresses for bat mitzfahs! when i was like 13, that's where i got like all of mine.. they're pretty cheap too! if you find one that you like, but is too springy, you can always put a shawl or something over it, and it won't look too childish at all. also, try maybe bloomies or nordstrom, although those are probably too expensive... also, if you have a Mandee store near you, they have cute, cheap dresses that are like perfect for a b/m.

good luck, have fun!

ps.. [go to the juniors section of macys and look at dresses.. the regular womens dresses will probably be too mature, not your size, and too expensive. =]

First we learn to spell then we shop - Bat Mitzvah. Good place to shop is alway Bloomingdales, can always find clothing of all ranges of styles, sizes and costs. As there seem to be Bloomies all over the places currently it is a good choice. After that a good choice is Nordstroms, also a good choice of stores. They both have good choice for 12 to 14 year olds. Of course there are always small stores in local areas, but these can always be found in malls, just wander and see what is available.

the sunshine blue one sounds extra effectual for that kind of party. You dont' prefer to stick out with a ambitious print. i might say, stay on the mature/conservative area. countless your pal's kinfolk would be there.
