free will trumps fate everytime
fate is for those who believe that have or do not want to exercise control of their life, and so it becomes a mantra to explain anything good or bad that may come their way, especilly bad
when time and time again it has been show that freewill and a drive will lead you where you want to be be
both good and bad choices will have their direct and eventual consequences
for example, a person who gets hooked on drugs and evetually dies in the gutter or the streets, well that wasn't their fate as it was more of a choice in freewill that they made ( to use drugs ) that evetually led to their demise..
you can feel sorry for the person.. not because they die.. but becuase they chose the losing path in life and the winning path in life..

If you mean "fate" as a predetermined event that is chosen for us when we are born, then no. We choose what we want to be. I believe in the "fate" that means choosing our own fate. We choose our jobs, we choose where to live, we choose many things. Our choices are not predetermined, because we think about them before we act on it.
If everthing was already chosen, we'd make the choice quickly, and without a second thought.

And the only fate that is shared by everyone is death.

The idea of fate is not rational!

if our fates were set, so would all other things also be set right down to the smallest insect's behavior and even the atoms. It would be as if someone was just watching a video recording.

If you're rational you know that your own experiences prevent this from being true.

its like "do we choose our parents or they choose us"
fate is one possibility among millions of other possiility.
your free will can lead you to choose up to 360 degrees turn wherever we want to go.
If you have potential and no ability ,u will end up remaining ore instead of ecoming core" committed, organized, responsible, enthusiastic"
thats the difference between fate n free will in my opinion.
so fate is one seed if u accept it ,it become your destiny and if not u can make your own.

This question is similar to another's question i just answered, here is what i wrote:

What a question. Well, first, when asking a question such as this, you must ask yourself, are you looking for an answer or the solution(s)? If you are a person of logic (you referring to one who is thinking at this moment), to my knowledge you are more likely to follow scientific and mathematical reasoning on things, such as A=A, 2=2, A-B=C, so 2XC=2A-2B as long as A, B, and C exist, and so on and so forth into the logical speaking of everything in which we try to understand. To know if anything is going to happen is to know of the factors in the equation and how they are to play out in the scenario’s exact order to produce the predicted result.

Given that we may not ever reach a point at which we will know every single factor that is placed throughout existence and how each factor is to play out (and given the level of complication this would presume you to need in order to acquire the predicted result) does not mean that those results were not already set forth into action and cannot be figured out if we had the given scenario and specific situational knowledge.

So, when one looks at this question, one must ask the air around which they breath- what is fate?-
If you are asking whether or not ALL THE FACTORS ADD UP TO PRODUCE A RESULT, then yes, I would have to say A must equal A, given that A exists.

Something that may get people trapped on questions similar to this one is whether one will have the ability to predict the result- that is not part of the question though, it doesn't matter- and the truth is the question does not matter either. The other thing that gets people rapped up in and about this question is whether or not they have any control over their own life- whether or not they truly have free-will.

Well, there's another question. If everything is just a complicated domino effect of a previous situation (which then translates into the question of time beginnings, endings, and the birth of existence and the infinity and so forth and so on), then why do we try if everything is determined so?

In the grand scheme of things this is just an obscurity of logic brought on by the distraction of the replacement of who is the observer in the situation. If you are just a PART of the system, with limited knowledge of the rest of existence, then you are a factor- a piece of the system-, and cannot determine any outcome on your own, you are part of the factoring. So yes, you still have control over your future, what you do affects the rest of the universe from your standpoint, but from the ultimate observer you are a system on your own, and factors were put into you to produce a result, so from the ultimate observer's standpoint, you had no real power. But you can never be the ultimate observer, you are who you are. And for that reason you have control over the future from your observational standpoint, yet everything is predetermined by the ongoing unveiling of the events that happen throughout existence.

If you are unhappy with the answers you receive, find your own solution. A good solution must be adapted to any new knowledge and factors you obtain or acquire.

This is, however, my short answer to this question. I hope the communication was carried out and you understand what I tried to say, although I left a lot of gaps in my logic. However I do find that one understands something at the greatest level when they come up with it on their own, I mean, A must equal A, does it not?
[A= one with no confusion in a situation, A=BxC, B= one capable of understanding a situation, C= the cause for understanding a situation, C == because one followed their own logic to come to the conclusion of what the situation is; One with no confusion of a situation= (one capable of understanding)x(because one followed their own logic to come to the conclusion of what the situation is), A=A, of course in this situation you don't have to deal with (communication of one who understands)x(capability to understand the communication of the one trying to understand from the one who understands), which would =C], at least, to the best of my knowledge, at the moment.

I also think that if you are capable of asking the question, then you are capable of answering the question, which is why I said you must ask yourself whether or not you were looking for an answer or a solution; if you are looking for a solution you may or may not find one that fits your knowledge, however, given the openness of the question and the way it was asked I’d say you have at least some thoughts on the subject and you are looking for some new or different ideas to spark some thought of your own- to see what others think, and thank you for taking the time to ask the question, and I thank all those who took the time or who are taking the time to read and answer any question such as this, no matter what their response is as long as it is open and logically concluded on their own.

Whenever you ask a question about anything, think vertically, does the solution or answer matter, or can you find a solution that covers more than just that of which you ponder?

I do not claim to know anything as truth- just to live out life by what presents itself to be true, at the moment of my thought

Sometimes i do...others i think you build it, with your actions...but sometimes however you try to escape from something this keeps behind you, like if it were designed for you...and this applies to many circumstances of life, in every sense, have you noticed about it?
