First, I accept that you've thought deeply about your career as a teacher and have good reason to switch. Besides, re-inventing ourselves keeps us young and learning.

In marketing and especially web marketing there is a lot of science behind effective marketing. One web page sells and another does not. Creative marketers get wrapped up trying to figure out what the best web page might be. Statisticians are the most effective. They just run one experiment after another and always take the winner. I think the industry is beginning to get that and scientifically minded folks are in demand.

Another thought is that Google is always hiring highly academic people to help refine its search technology... and I guess Yahoo! probably would to.

Commercial training might be another direction but I'm not sure if you'd be interested.

You have a minor in Math so, I think you would be a great canditate for a Master of Applied Statistics or Actuarial Science.

You would be able to apply your scientific and research skills and math skills. The job opportunites are really awesome and applied statisticians/actuarial scientists have huge demand for their skills. Think of the TV show, "Numbers," the young mathematician, who is the brother to the detective is an example of what an applied statistician/actuarial scientist does. They get paid well, too, especially if you work for insurance companies. I think it's an option worth looking at.
