Have you ever been near a female on her menstrual cycle and been able to smell the stench? Ex; ever sat beside her, walked past you, or just stood and you precieved the smell?

I knew a girl who reaked of it. She worked at a shop I visited, and man, when you were too close, you could smell it. Eventually the monthly timing of her nasty stench clued me into what the foulness was.

I did not tell her. Maybe that was the wrong choice, but I didn't want to embarrass her.

i've never been able to smell menstrual blood. but I find in people that I'm close with and am around a lot, their bodily scent actually changes during their period. I have noticed this. it is not a gross or strong smell, just a subtle change.

Yup. I remember there was a girl in my homeroom class in high school who used to not change her pad often enough or something....Now I look back and feel kind of bad because maybe she didn't know. It kind of smelled like a rotting animal....because it was rotting blood afterall.

That's why I like tampons! It keeps all that stinky, clotted blood in there until the brief moment when you whip it out and toss it away. Pads just let it sit there and decay. Mmm...bacteria must love all that nutricious congealed blood in that nice warm, moist environment...Yummy.

Yeah...I've smelled it. It's gross. But then...we've probably all been in a scenario where we weren't able to change our tampon or pad on time and started to stress out that it's going to smell. Blech.

But...I don't believe in using soaps, sprays, douches or other stuff down there. Just a washcloth with warm water to wash away anything. Using soaps and stuff gets rid of the natural bacteria that we need down there to protect againt yeast infections and other bad stuff. Water is all that's neccesary.
