I have six neices and nephews and still my family is growing. I want to be the kind of aunt that they love and fight over my attention. I spend time with them a lot but when my brother comes home they all run to him and he never stays longer than a few minutes. I'm in college and have a part time job and my time is precious and I'm often preoccupied with studies. I want them to remember me and want to be around me. I'm leaving soon and transfering to another college far from home. How do I make my time with them memorable? I have a busy schedule, any ideas on how I can make time for them? I try but I'm so busy. I need some advice.

Kids love getting presents......give them all something that when they see it, they will remember u........ like small gold chains with small pendants, and u can tell them to wear it all the time............i have 7 nieces and nephews but i am only around two most of the time and what i do is play with them alot....when they see me they run to me but they also do the same with their parents...........and speak to the older ones like adults, they love that! good luck with your studies.

Just being around them will be a great start. Have fun. Be happy. Laugh.Encourage. Be interested. Be willing to be a kid with them. When you go away and then come back for a visit you will notice how much they have missed you!

Depending on the age of the kids. know a lot of knock knock jokes or other silly jokes. make them laugh, kids love to laugh. give them pet names other than their name that just you can call them, play games. listen to problems of older ones. Candy helps too lol. someone to listen to them is a must. lots of love and affection. these are the signs of a really gr8 Aunt. enjoy!!!!

Bribe them ,every time you see them, with candy, or cookies, or spending money, as well as being nice and friendly to them.
I know it is crass, but it works, keep doing it and you will always be the favorite.
