I wouldn't suggest it. I have never stayed there but I wouldn't because I have stayed in the best on the strip. Check out the website. You can also call and ask when the last renovation was.

I really do not reccommend the Riviera because there are a lot of other better hotels in Las Vegas. The rooms are really beat and smelly. The service is really bad. The whole hotel smells like cigarettes, even the room. The pool is one outdoor pool that is an ok size. If you are on a budget then try priceline.com and you could get up to 50% off if you booked somewhere else.

I live in Southern California and go to Las Vegas all the time. Out of all the choices I would say it is ok , I have stayed their 2 times. It is an older crowd that stays their mostly because it is old school Las Vegas. If you are getting a realy good rate then go for it, otherwise I would shop around.
You might want to stay off the strip like at the Rio which is very close to the strip but much nicer than the Riviera.

it is a little run down and all the way on the north side of the strip. It reminds me of the old vegas, but if you are looking for something fancy I would not suggest it. But the rates are ok since its not in the middle of everything and is older..

A friend of mine just stayed there and it was so bad all we could do was laugh. It was dirty, the shower made a horrendous noise when you turned it on - it was just wrong!! Just say no.

Yes, and I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay there. I found it digusting. We had sand flies in our room, and they were in every room.
