What more important is having a wife that will pull her weight and not be a leach, so you both can have some toys. I feel sorry for so many of my friends that have wives that all they are to them are slaves.

Why not both? The world is full of guys who have toys, look like idiots spending money on young girls who like toys and then one day realize that they have basically nothing. They hang at Hooters, strip clubs and bars. But nothing replaces having a person that truly loves you. You have that and then buy you toys (which will seem like "toys") and you have everything. But more often than not those toys will seem silly and you will want to have bigger ones than a boat or an ATV. Kind of like how the toys you had in first grade seem to you now looking back.
The best toy..... having a couple of million in investment accounts that you worked hard to get. Knowing that you can kick back a bit no matter what happens.

Can't you have it all! My husband has the boat, a great bass boat and a great pickup truck and we have been married for almost 6 years. I think that a man can be married and have the toys he wants too!

Depends what you want more, and whether you have the idea that one cancels out the other.
Me, I've got the best of both worlds, as many men do. They're capable of finding a balance between material lust and loving another person.
It ain't impossible...for some of us.

Why do you have to have one or the other?My hubby has both.He has a new Harley, a 06 Honda motor cycle,a mustang,2 jeeps one of which is brand new,and a classic muscle car we are restoring for him.And of course his favorite play thing.(me).Not all wives are tyrants whom break their husbands spirits and kill all of their attempts to have fun.Some of us support our husbands hobbies.
