Who here thinks they should make some DVDs of Brookside characters to see what they're upto now.

It would also be good if a channel like UK Gold or Living could show old-repeats

Brookside is ace - yeah it went crappy towards the end, because Channel 4 knew it was going to be axed. They also messed it around the schedules something chronic. I think it is a shame when channels do that at least play a soap out to the end!
Anyway UK Gold did used to play repeats of some of the first shows and then stopped, because (I believe) there was talk of Brookie going to Sky - I remember when it got axed the guy who plays Jimmy Corghill seemed pretty confident it would go on in some form or other. However with each year that goes by it becomes less and less likely any of the rumours of ressurection will ever come to light!

yeah why dont they show brookside on uk gold? it went crap in the end but it did use to be good.

Good idea, brookside was brill. Jimmy was my favourite character, would be interesting to see what became of him.

I used to live with a lad who was totally obsessed with brookside.. he nearly died when they took it away..

Anyway.. he had loadsa videos of it.. official ones- not copies..
