Okay, so i have thhis friend who is gay, and i mean i KNOW he is gay, we're like best friends so I know him inside and out, but his family kicked him out when they found out, and now all of a sudden he has announced that he is straight, and i think he is doing it just so his family wont disown him again? Anyway, he thinks he'll be fine if he marries a woman, and who knows maybe he has convinced himself he's straight but we all know you cant change your sexuality, so how long do you guys think it will be until he finally admits to himself he's gay? LMAO i say maybe a few years or so. I hope he knows hes in for a very unhappy time.

It might be awhile because he is afraid that he will be treated unfairly for admiting that he is gay. A lot of his guy friends will not be friends with him once he comes out because they will think that he might try to hit on him.
It will take awhile, but it might be shorter if you tell him that he could trust in you and you wont stop being his friend for it.

If he's under 18 or financially dependent on his family, of course he's going to say that he's straight. Only when he is free of his parents and not relying on them anymore will he re-admit to being gay.
