The point of this world cup including teams of limited cricket status, was to generate bigger promotion and to bring cricket to a wider audience. But Ireland should be allowed to enter the test cricket arena, because it is only through proper competition that nations can build good teams. Look at Bangladesh-es improvement over the last three years.

For sure Pakistan is out of world cup'07.Really unbelievale.Its a great shame for pakistan.A team playing international cricket for the 1st time beats 1 of the oldest test playing nation who have won a world cup before.Aleast India was beaten by bangladesh a test playing nation and having decent experiance in international cricket and also their teammate demise has put them in a mood for winning for him and thus god helped them.Its very sad for pakistan now because its almost sure now that they won't make it the super8 stage and have to go home where thinks are not right either socially and politically.Pakistan in turmoil!!!!!!!
But 1 think for sure both the winning teams played very good cricket.Bangladesh has already been given test playing nation status, fot Ireland its early, let them produce few more big upsets.

I predicted that Pakistan will be out of the world cup in a hurry. Let me tell you I was totally wrong in predicting team India's performance.
And yes, Ireland deserves to be included in the test cricket arena.

Yes and that actually gives me a great feeling. I must say Ireland played well with Pakistan and Zimbabwe. I've heard and seen good things about Ireland. I think they have a good chance of getting in the finals....

Erin go bragh! Ireland are not quite ready for Test status, but I would like to see the English Cricket Board issue an invitation for them to play 4 day and one day County Cricket in England.
No doubt Eamon de Valera will be rolling in his grave and the shade of Michael Collins may raise a cynically humerous eyebrow if this comes about, but I can't wait for the humerous song that Christy Moore will doubtless write when Ireland play Essex at Chelmsford!

Yes, Pakistan is out of world cup with 2 defeats from 2 games .
It is too early to give test status to Ireland as test cricket is entirely a different game and based on one or two good performance, no team can earn test status.

well your question is vaild enogh but they just need only 1 run but they don't wanna hit single so they hit 6 and thats is a real win in all way i watching cricket since 1980 when i am in 10th year and that is worse defeat in all way in the game of cricket
