I'm Irish, hense the Irish name.... so it isn't too ridiculous... and I am a teacher, as well, I appriciate creativity in names and do not feel the need to conform to "English names"

I'd say it depends on how badly you want to name a child after Lord Byron.

Why don't you just name him "Oh My God" or "My Parents Are Crazy"?At least make it one or two names, not three.Really, your son won't need his thousand names,he would use just one of them, why do you make him bear the other two?He will just have difficulties pronouncing, spelling and even telling the other people his name.Name him George Gordon or Daefyd Randyll and that's it.He will have either a reduntant name or the ability to pronounce and spell it.And one personal advice - naes like Daefyd(hard to pronounce) drive the teachers nutts.Really, George Gordon is better.

I like George Gordon Byron... It isn't that your names are "weird" or anything, but no one will know how to pronounce the second one, and he will be constantly spelling his name out for everyone or correcting their pronounciation of it.... I think it's an important thing when looking at names to make sure you aren't giving your child a lifelong problem, even if it is small compared to other problems, I suppose...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no crazy spellings. At least make sure you can sound it out phonetically. I'm a teacher and names like "Daefyd" make me mental... One syllable named boys tend to be more well-liked, I've found, and boys whose names start with "Br" tend to be...well, evil. (sorry for all those named with BR to start!) We teachers have discussed this phenomenon endlessly in the staff room and the general consensus is NO "Br" names. "Padraig" sounds like menstrual pads... I like George. It's strong, very fashionable right now without getting overused, and simple. Very powerful.
