It is definately an accurate statement; i am one of the very few who love him. Everyone around me hates his guts. As his saying goes, "Love me or hate me, it's one or the other, always has been." No matter what Kobe does, whether its handing out 10 assists or scoring 65 points, or scoring 81 points,or getting his teammates involved, it never seems enough to the average person. They simply find something else to critique him on. Kobe is such a phenomenal player. I think the only reason that so many people hate him is because they feel threatened, and deep down they know that he is the best player in the NBA. Cant anyone ever take his place. GO KOBE!

Well, let's sort out all those insults....rapist, no...dirty player, no...ball-hog, absolutely...egotistical, are you kidding?...team player? Let's just say that LAKERS stands for "Losing As Kobe's Ego Rockets Skyward."

Personality-wise, his image took a lot of hits because he was constantly being compared the much more outgoing and personable Shaquille O'Neal....and I also think a lot of fans developed a healthy hatred of Kobe during the "Kobe, Shaq, Phil Era," when the media was shoving him down their throats 24/7.

Kobe had a greater effective PR rep... yet as nicely that I dont think of it has something to do with what they did. Its never approximately what you do, its approximately what you do after your incorrect doings pop out.. Tiger did what he did, then tried to disguise it up... the conventional public will often forgive something a movie star does.. yet they often circumstances have a puzzling time forgiving a disguise up(exceedingly a foul disguise up)... no longer in elementary terms that.. after kobe did what he did.. he went lower back to the courtroom and stored giving people a reason to love him.. Tiger went on a hiatus, then while he got here lower back, he replace into no longer the comparable participant people have been use to watching...

I dont think its an accurate statement because if he was hated by many he wouldn't be voted into the allstar game as a starter BY THE FANS year in and year out. But u r right, he does have alot of haters and is critisized for much too often for everything he does

That is the way I see it.....these guys get paid millions of dollars to play sports, and become idols to some, especially kids. They are labeled as role models. Therefore, when you get caught with your pants down, the media are going to eat you alive and turn people against you. It takes 10 atta boys to clear up 1 ah, s#*t!

I don't think everyone hates him but he is probably only the 2nd or 3rd most liked player which is strange because he's the best one.
