My ex used to listen to a lot of metal and I got a good earful. I couldn't identify all of the bands, though.
I'm more into the classics like Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dio, and some Metallica (I'm not their biggest fan...) but I'll listen to a wide variety.
Blind Guardian, some Nightwish, Rhapsody, etc. is good from time to time... and Apocalyptica if for no other reason than I have 2 cellos.

I love all metal there are some bands that are very death metal and i have to be in the mood to listen to them but I love to rock out to metal!

no longer into steel too lots, yet i'm a classic Rock fiend. My kinfolk is so used to me being the surprising ball out that they do no longer even care anymore. rather a number of them admire that i replace into in a position to interrupt out of the stereotypical mould and be my own guy or woman. because of the fact that maximum of my favourite bands are from the previous, i are not getting to bypass concert events very lots. My suited 3 favourite bands are crimson Floyd(my goodness i admire them lots), Radiohead, and The Beatles. My musical flavor is exceedingly huge, yet i'm sorting out distinctive bands suited now, so i've got not got time to checklist all of them, lol.

I'm more into melodic metal stuff, especially contemporary central-european melodic metal, all from power and epic to folk and even doom-ish stuff.

I like metal in general. I do tend to prefer thrash, alt-metal, and classic metal, but I'll listen to anything metal

I was in high school - there is not much that is good out right now, nothing recent.
There is a lot of this crap "pop-metal" out right now, like System of a Down, etc.... I liked Sepultura, Fear Factory, Slayer, etc.
