on nbc national news tonight they said there was a pet food recall. Pets were dying,some of kidney failure.The food was sold at Wal-Martand Pet Smart.They mentioned Iams and showed some other brands but nver said what they were they gave the web-site and I missed it I have 2 cats & a 14 yr'old german sheperd whom I'd die for.Did any one out there happen to see this and catch it? Can you help me?

They believe to to be only the wet food so dry cat and dog food is supposed to be safe

To all pet owners- The list of recalled foods has grown since this morning( Tuesday- March 20) Please keep checking the website Menufoods.com/recall, also check the FDA website at FDA.com. There are phone numbers listed on both. I just got a hold of them at 1AM Wed. They just took a little info and said someone would get back with me. I buried my FLOWER (4year old cat) Tuesday Morning, she passed from renal failure that led to a seizure which resulted in a heart attack. Her liter mate and brother is ok. He usally only eats the dry food. As of now, they are not admitting any problems with the dry. I personally, am not going to trust them. He has had blood work today and seems to be ok for now. I will be feeding him, Fish and chicken only, that I cook! Please notify all pet owners. Spread the word to everyone you talk to. I don't trust these companies anymore! God bless and best wishes too all!

I work at a vet hospital, so I've been dealing w/ questions all day. There are actually about 40 types of canned/wet cat food & 50 types of canned/ wet dog food. If you go to menufoods.com/recall they will give you a list of all the products w/ the product# and dates sold by.

It was the wet food not the dry food for Iams, nutro, eukanuba, science diet, sophistacat and sophisticat supreme, authority. for cats
