Hi--After being in its case for a while, my Rick 360 is now making a crackling noise when I try to play it. I think the cord I'm using is good, and that it might be something in the guitar's electronics. Anyone have any experience with this? I'd love to know what's going on. Thanks a lot!

Go to Radio Shack and pick up a can of tuner cleaner. Pull the knobs off the controls, protect the body from overspray (the chemical will sometimes make the finish craze), and spray into the controls.

It is VERY common for guitars- and for some reason especially Rickenbackers- for their controls to corrode slightly from lack of use.

Make sure your input jack is not loose.. that can sometimes cause a crackle. Also try a different cord or try the one you are using on another guitar, just to be safe. If the jack is fine and the cord is good, you are gonna have to open it up and look at your wiring.

anytime ive come across this it has been the cord.

not saying that is your problem, it may very well be the guitar, maybe open it up and dust out the pickups and the electronics.

get a can of compressed air or something

check your pickups. my bass does that, and you just have to tighten the pickups.
