I just purchased a HP Pavilion dv6245us Notebook PC and i plug s-video into my TV and all that comes out is a black & white picture, how do i get color?

Check to see if the pins on your SV cable are bent or if any are broken. The problem is most likely from the cable.

You may have to go into the advanced video properties and adjust that.
Right click desktop, click properties, click advanced tab, click advanced button. You should find a display manager or adjustment screen for your S out.
Check your on screen controls for your TV as sometimes S in is adjustable.
This should resolve this problem :)

you need to set it on color
