thanks for the answer i was just not that sure because my dr's have asked that ???? but they said it was when it was ending

You are talking about 2 different things. When you go to the doctor for some other issue and they ask when was the first day of your last period, they want the FIRST day. Not the last. If you think you are pregnant, then they want to know when the last one started AND ended.

I'm not sure what your question is here, the first day of your last period is the first full day of bleeding.. so say you start your period in the evening on a monday, you would count tuesday as the first day of your period.. if you start in the morning, you could count it as that day.
