why do people think gangster rap is cool ? call me crazy and old but from were i come from calling a women a b or useing curse words in every other word or drug use and geting high is cool may be i am old but i dont understand

most gangster rappers are telling a story about a life style u may not be used 2. I recommend u listen to "many men" by 50 cent. he talks about how he is looked down upon and how he is scuffling 2 reach the top. Listen to "Soul Survivor" by Young Jeezy and Akon. Jeezy uses MANY metaphors so you'll have 2 truly pay attention.
Just listen through a different perspective. Put yourself in their shoes. I'm not sayin EVERYTHING that they say is right, but most are.

I don't know why rap is the way it is these days. Sure people used to swear back in the day too but mindless rap songs are what's "hot" these days.

in case you propose modern-day-day pop, then gangster rap. yet i will take some classic MJ or Prince or Tears for Fears over a chest-beating, phony-gangster gorilla any day. whilst the ninety's died, so did high quality rap track.

most rappers rap about being gangsta because they don't know to rap about anything else that's why you can't just be nice on the mic anymore you have had to have "put in work" in order to have any repect as a rap artist

50 snitch ...50 cent is one of the real fake rappers...he says he was shot nine times in a gang shoot out ..wen he was really only shot three times wen he was a cop tryin to stop a gang sumwhere in NY...but MAC DRE is real real...he rapped about drugs gangs killin cuz thats wat he did...lots of rappers are real some arnt ...bay area rappers go stupid ....mac dre said its called stupid cuz it looks stupid...u may think rap is dumb well country opra classical and christian muzik suck...ok
