my girlfriend broke up with me a little over a month ago. she wanted to remain friends. at first it was real hard.. and now i figure.. what do i have to lose? here is the problem whenever we hang out it is dating stuff. what i mean by that is when we hang out it is stuff like going to a comedy show with her and her family, or we go to the movies. i dont buy her anything and when we go out she pays for herself. she wants to go to yankees opening day with me ( i have season tickets). should i take her with me to the game? it just seems like she is keeping me around because she doesnt want to lose me.. but doesnt want to be my girlfriend. all rea advice would be appreciated. thanks

It sounds like she's still attached to you so she doesn't want to stop hanging out since that would hurt HER. She's being selfish by wanting to date you without the commitment. My best advice would be to give yourself some time to heal and then date other girls. As for the game, if you want her company, then take her, but it's not going to help you get over her.

You are right. She is just keeping you around as a spare. Evidently, there is someone she is either dating or wants to date. I guess to her credit, she broke up with you instead of just sneaking around and embarassing you. Good for her.

As for the Yankee game, tell her you have already asked another friend. Don't let her use you. It's great if you stay friends but be sure it doesn't stop you from moving on in your life. It is difficult to go from lover to friend. You don't want her to date around and come back to you when she has no one else. You are much better than her last choice. Remember that.

She could be keeping you around because she cares about you as a friend. Tell her you have promised to take someone else to opening day & see if she still wants to hang around with you.

If you like hanging out with her, then you should keep doing it. You also need to have a life of your own. Get out and date other girls. She will get upset, but if she really is still into you it will make her want you back. Try it...

Sounds like all she wants you for is a friend to go places with and not have to worry about getting hit on. But hey if it's friends you like, hey she is a good one because she pays for herself.

Yes, she is keeping you on a string and sorry to say this but probably until someone better comes along. Forget her and move on and find a girl worthy of you

Your putting to much it this. If you feel like that she is just keeping you around, She doesn't want to lose you then. Ask her about it.

Well, she's not making you pay for anything so if she pays her way then no problem.

Now, if she made you pay for stuff and buy her stuff then tell her to get lost. Grab your balls and be glad that you still have those and if she's trying to use you then tell her to beat it.

take her to the game she probably doesn't want to be your gf because something is going on in her life right now but she still wants to be very close to you!
