so i converted my jeep to a 350 and now i need a high output alternator, i have 2 12inch subs a lincoln mark 8 electric fan and some offroad lights. will this alternator suit my needs. its a 200 amp alternator

Sure, remember that the alternator primary function is to keep the battery charged! and everything in your vehicle looks to the battery for power not the alternator, so be sure that the battery you have is compatible with what you are doing. That size alternator will create a lot of current which will cause a great deal of heat in the battery. you may want to look into a dual battery application as well.

The 200 amp alternator is pretty stout. Give it a try. If it doesn't hack the mission go to NAPA, Car Quest or Advance Auto and ask if they have a retro-fit alternator with the most wattage in the house.

Yeah that's like 2,400 watts, I've never heard of such a strong alternator, my D-2500 w/ a 360cid has like a 70amper or so, so I think that's enough lol but you might check into getting a 1,000 cca battery as well.

you can get away with a 150A alt.....

Just keep in mind that you'll need to upgrade the regulator the original charging system's wiring and add another master breaker to the jeep's original circuit...

200 amps is more than enough for your needs, maybe a little too much.
