i have a laptop and want to connect it to my tv. i have comcast reciever box and want to have the procedure less than $100

u need a videocard with a tv out ... if it has one either svideo or vga/rca then just plug it in and switch between displays in ur graphics properties ...

That is usually done with a S-Video connector on both.
Check whether the laptop has a S-video connector and then the TV. If both do, get a S-Video cable, and after connecting that to both units, start the computer and set it up in the control panel, display, advanced.

what is the cables you have? is that 3 RSA mean yellow, red and white.or the other cable converters.
