If the Kindergarten mind set that says it's true because it's in the Bible would kindly shut the hell up.

Surroundedbyimbeciles ... a thoroughly pretentious and self-congratulatory answer. The point of the question, of course, is do you think that the only reason you support gays is because you are gay?

I support human beings no matter who they choose to love, what they choose to have faith in or what color they happen to be. Although I am a lesbian I would feel the same way about my fellow human beings if I were straight! I do not judge anyone because I myself am far from perfect. I think we need to start answering questions that will help the world as a whole ....like how do we stop innocent children from being victims of poverty, drive by shootings ,molestation, cancer ect...ect... Or maybe how do we stop all the hate and suffering going on in the world and make peace with each other and the environment???? Maybe it is asking to much to focus all of our negative energy into something positive and realize what we have before it is gone...Sorry for the rant I just lost my mother to a heroin overdose and I feel like we need to stop and appreciate everything and stop worrying if the fact that I am gay is going to affect you ...IT ISN'T ....Worry about what kind of lives our children will have if we don't stop this mindless back and forth hate....have a nice day and remember there are many more important things than someones sexuality!!!

I am straight but I used to think that it being gay is wrong until I met a wonderful man that is a very, very dear friend of mine and after I started loving him as a member of my family did I learn that he was gay (I didn't think 1 time about his sexuality) and then it didnt' matter and I found out that gay people are so sweet and wonderful and I now have other gay friends too. I know that they have to fight for the same rights guarenteed them by the constitution that the rest of us enjoy, that is why I as a straight woman support gay rights.

Hey dude, guess what? I support gays and I AM straight! You guys are the same as me. I like guys you like guys, see? everyone IS equal! I just solved the mystery. Unfortunately, not many people think so. But as long as you have just one supporter, you guys can keep going on strong! I love you guys! A lot of my guy friends are gay and they are the same as having non-gay guy friends. so there!

"ABSOLUTELY." I am a straight married ("real" Christian) male. Both my wife and I (second marriage for both of us) have gay friends and support the movement whole-heartedly. No, we do not have any gay children. However, our children also have friends that are gay, or have married into families where siblings, or relatives are gay. Everyone gets along well and our large extended family events (weddings etc) are a a real mix of cultures and a genuine riot of fun!

I am straight and sure of myself and sure of gays too. Of course I will support them to the end just as I support you. I think humans are human and no one is allowed to sit in judgment of another regardless of what you or your religion believes. Judge not lest you be judged (In The Bible). That means if you judge (or hate) others then God will not allow you in heaven. Gays are just as A-OK as anyone else.

I guess that is a little bit more difficult than it seemed at first. I'd like to believe that I would, since I don't feel the reason that gays should be supported are simply because I am gay.

i read your question and tried to figure out if you are liberal or not. but then i said to myself...it really doesn't matter because i already know i would support a gay. although in asking your question. do you really expect to make a final analysis of this question? i would hope not. only because the people you ask this of come from every denomination known to man. so your question has no relevance to people who are gay. only because the gay's have no idea of what its like to be straight. whhheeewwwwwwwwwwwww. i said it. hopefully not to confrentational.

I would. It must be hard for them though. I have straight friends who have closed minded friends,so whenever we hang out we have to make sure they are not around or watch what we do. The only thing I would do differently from my straights, if I were straight, is to not ask my queer buddies to pretend they are heterosexual. And if my other friends had a problem with gays (or anyone else that is different) then I wouldn't hang out with them.

"If you were straight" is a pretty difficult thing for a gay person to imagine. It's like saying "what would you think if you were somebody other than who you are?"
It's like saying: "If you were an old-school Marxist, would you be a Trotskyite or a Leninist?"
Of course, you can imaginitively try to engage with such questions, but one cannot give a definite answer because one simply cannot know how one would think if one were somebody else, with different formative experiences and different ways of seeing the world.
