i need to change oxy sensor and would like to know how

i used to own one of those old trucks. If i remember, the sensor is located in the exhaust manifold ot the pipe right after the manifold and before the catalytic converter. Its a simple repair. There is a special socket designed to fit over the sensor. If you have this socket, just disconnect the wire, use the socket and a wratchet to remove the old sensor. Coat the new sensor's threads with an anti sieze compound and reinstall, then reconnect the wires. Thats it! If a lite is on, just disconnect the power to the battery or remove the red 10amp fuse to the ecm for 20 seconds. It should go out.

1- unhook the battery
2- disconnect the sensor wire
3 take a wrench and screw it out,and put the other 1 in.
4-hook up battery.
