Sorry but Clinton did NOT follow DOJ guidelines as he pardoned persons that had pending cases as witnesses AGAINST HIM let off the hook.
Libby was convicted of perjury and obstruction...and the Presidents ability to pardon is ABSOLUTE save bribery of course... some of you people know this...the Dems are just upset that they will lose like they usually do...

Clinton also followed the DoJ guidelines in doing so.

If Bush pardons Libby now, it would be in violation of those guidelines.

Is it that you don't see the difference? Or that you don't care about the difference and the message that it sends?

Also, historically for about the last three or four decades, there are an average of 600 pardon applications per year, with about 60 of them being granted. So, if Clinton pardoned 300 in eight years, that's about 40% less than the average.

Darn, you took the fun out of my answer. I'll just have to try again.

I didn't hear them say anything about Clinton giving a pardon to a convicted drug criminal.

jesus christ, can you imagine a worse PR move than pardoning Libby?....Ouch, that scapegoat is gonna burn and Bush should just keep his nose out of it because it's only going to get worse if he waves that little finger and pardons Libby..
