I'm trying to download a simple 1.9 MB file and its taking too long. LOL. Even for a dial up it should be faster. I see a speed between 2.9 to 4.9, sometimes 5.something, yet the actual counter displays slower. And by slower it shows like 1.6 or lower. Ugh *exasperated* Do I need to set something in the options menu to help download faster or what? My internet connection is at 26.4 Kb/s. Dont laugh. If you can help me I'd appreaciate it.

The measurements of connection speed and download speed are different. Five is actually pretty good for your connection.

Dial-up is 56kbps, and you never get the full 56, usually between 10 and 20.
