It may be expensive but worth it, What The dealer may charge for work on your Toyota a generic garage may charge 1.5 to 2 times as much. Toyota Tech have specific training for your car and have to adhere to the time schedules put out by Toyota. Keep it with the dealer until the entire warranty is done.
You'll have to do your homework and find a mechanic you can trust and is well knowledged with Toyota cars.

Look in the Phone book Yellow page ads look for one with the ASE Certification flower looking seal...
especially in the area in which you are having the car repaired
i.e. Engines, Transmission, Air Conditoning etc.
this will increas the likely hood it will be done right and well
do not go to any quick lane fast lube place...

what you do is go around your town to different car repair shops and tell them u need a 30k tune up, ask them how much it will be then go to the cheapest one, go to diff ones ok not just one find the best price!

almost all mechanics charge the same hourly rate as the garages unless you find a backyard one, just look around and listen around who is good in your area.

look in your area and the shops name , word of mouth, then call the BBB and if there are any complainants they will tell you, those garages who have troubles will not be in business much longer.
