Derek Lee, Julio Lugo, Joe Crede for A-Rod, good deal? I re-did this question cause i need specific answers why or why not i should do this trade in fantasy baseball. Here is my team as it stands...or any position that could be affected by it... Richie Sexson (1b), Josh Barfield (2b), A-Rod (3b), Bill Hall(3b, ss), Nick Swisher (1b,of), Stephen Drew (ss), Ian Kinsler (2b). i put that since Lugo has eligibilty in 2b, 3b, and ss. Its a 12 team league. Is this a good trade?

Take It.
Derrek Lee will be back in form, Lugo will hit more for power than speed this year, and Crede will something something...he's ok.
Why you'll benefit:
You can either keep them and bolster your roster or trade for stats in which you're deficient. Kinsler is one of the two players who you'll need to drop to complete the trade.
I think you should drop Kinsler because he's batting in the 9 slot.

Derek Lee could hit 30-35 HR with a good average and sexson will hav eteh power but not the AVG ....Lugo is on the redsox now probably batting 2nd which means Ortiz and manny are behind so look for him to score 100 -110 runs Crede is a good solid player ....so i would say no because Arod will get you 40 HR and a 300 avg .so i hope this has been helpful to you

I would not do it, and I would veto it if it were in my league. I would even seriously consider giving a rather rude reply to the trade offer.
Presumably your number 1 pick, for a 1B that had one good year, a SS that has yet to have a good year, a streaky 3B that also has one good season under his belt. A-Rod is a proven and durable commedity, and these guys are flavor of the months that may or may not perform.
DON'T DO IT - all you are doing is adding a little bit of depth that could be gotten from the waiver wire. A some point last year, every one of these guys were on the waiver wire last year.
If you want depth, get a multi position player - Try:
Rich Aurilia
Ty Wiggington
not great players, but eligible at several positions

First off who else on your team will replace that power?
Derek Lee may or may not remember he didnt play much last year who knows how he will be.
I think you'd be giving up a lot for a guy who hasn't proved he's healthy yet and his swing is the same and two others that are good but not great.
Not to mention everyone in your league would benefit from this since you would have to drop Two players if your roster is full already which since drafts just finished should be full.
You have to look and see if its worth giving up a-rod and two others(dropped players) for Derek Lee,Lugo, Crede
If it was me id say no and wait till season starts..

It's good, you lose some stats by replacing A-rod with Crede, but if you think about it Lee and A-Rod were rated 1st rounders in 2005, they'll both bounce back but you'll also get lugo and crede which will help the team overall.

yes it is a good trade. Crede is marginal at best and lugo is a has been. Lee is a good player but Arod is a step above. I have a feeling he will have a beast year. We also dont know how Lee will do. Hes really only had one great year.

Hard to give an exact answer without knowing the stats your league is using, but keep in mind that it's not just A-Rod for those 3 players...it's A-Rod plus the 2 players you will have to drop from your team.

I think it's an okay deal. What I would do if I were you is throw in Sexon (less value with Lee on your team) and try to get a good pitcher. I like closers so I'd try to get a closer but it's up to you if you like starting pitching. You'll get more value with DLee bouncing back.

do it, i don't think you'll regret it in the 2nd wk after you accept the trade, a-rod 4 lee, and lugo, and crede, do it, and u'll win a cpl of games w/ them, i don't think he'll(Joe Crede) improve.
