He wouldn't. Hence, guys like me who hated themselves for being gay finally like themselves for being gay because we were born that way and can't change it. Sure we could abstain from sex and live a celibate life...but it's better for my mental and physical health that I don't.

It could happen, if the change is hard and he was failing a lot at it. An example would be weight loss. It could happen if a person puts his mind to it, but along the way he could still hate himself for being fat.

I don't think this applies to being gay, however. There is no healthy way to change one's sexuality, especially when one is not willing to accept it in the first place.

i'm guessing u mean change his sexuality. well if that is the case, then u should consider why should a person change a part of himself/herself just to fit in. u are u and theres no point in trying to be someone else.

People hate themselves for being gay, because they are mirroring the hate and loathing they receive from others around them. We are like mirrors in that regard. When we get hate served up to us every day, eventually you either start hating yourself, or start hating others around you, like the fundies do.

im not sure exactly what the problem is...but usually (speaking from experience) it is a mix of self loathing and weakness. blaming yourself and punishing yourself is always easier than fixing the problem. i know this probably wont help, but that is the truth.

I don't know, I mean why? I can just take the blue pill and become straight. Never mind, I love myself now, and I love being gay ;-)

he may physically be able to change, but maybe not emotionally. he may not want to change becuase he feels its who he is or something that he needs to do.
