It provides the framework for how this country was founded, and how it functions. Every aspect, at every level of govt.
The Constitution is the only thing protecting individuals from what is sometimes called the tyrrany of the majority. Basically, without the Constitutional protections limiting government, whoever happens to be in the majority can do anything they want.
So, how much the Constitution affects your daily lives really depends on how many issues you happen to be in the majority on. If you are in the minority, it guarantees your freedoms. If you are in the majority, it prevents you from forcing others to behave the way you want them to.

Hmmm lets see, I like to drink an alcoholic drink once in a while. Which a long time ago was not allowed in the amendments, but now is allowed. I like to say what ever I want, Freedom of speech. I like the right to go to any church I want, freedom of religion.

In many ways. Look at where you posted this question? The government has no right to stop you from asking this reasonable question in a reasonable way.
There are many other ways. It dictates that police officers cannot come up and stop you for know reason whether you are driving, sitting, walking or playing public.
And on and on and on

It doesnt really effect our daily lives. It helps protect our liberties and the rights that we have.
