It is illegal for a Notary to send you a copy of their seal, and no legitimate Notary would do such a thing. The maximum that can be charged is $10 (in California.)

Check with your bank, library, or post office...someone may have pity on you & do it for free.

Notaries usually charge less than $20 for their services. No legitimate notary is going to send you their seal, stopping their business until you get it back to them and putting their license on the line.

Why not go to a bank or public library? They have people with a notary seal who will notarize a document for you for free.
