Yes, and it is almost imperative that this happen. Jealousy, Big Ego's, and so-called-friends that all of the sudden want to
attach themselves to you like a leach. You have to be strong willed and Savvy, you must also have a sincere and determined Focus on what your Goal or Main Objectives are. You carefully calculate each step, and you under no circumstances let anyone or anything derail you from this.
I was talking to my granddaughter last night, and she had
a similar question(She has very good Objectives and Goals);
She is only 13, so my advice to her was this, Save and place your money in a savings account, when this is maintained at $100.00, Open a second savings account with a seperate Bank, and when this also is maintained at $100.00, open a third, then a Fourth, then a Fifth, all with seperate entities.
When you are fully maintained at 100 dollars in each of these, become committed to 10,15,or 20 dollars to each of these every time you get paid. A balance of 100 Dollars after a year builds accruity and Credit, the more you add, the more
interest you gain, the higher the credit. When she is sixteen, buy that first car put it on a Short Note and pay it off very quickly. You now have a credit rating or score. if she leaves the money alone and continues to put it in, at 21 she will be well on the way and able to purchase a home "NO Problem",
and at 35-40 years old, she can retire young and pretty much do what her heart desires.(AS long as she continues to place her money down and live on the interest it builds). (Maintain a scheduled Balance, it is your money, you are in control).

one of the single most important keys to being successful is to seek a mentor(s) and expand your extended network. losing friends is not a prerequisite but you will find yourself spending more time with successful folks.
