Are you a failure?

2007-03-17 11:25:08 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

You aren't a failure and i know it. Do you know how many people care about you and think that you are a great person? Let me tell you right now, a lot of people think you are great because if they didn't, they wouldn't bother answering this question. Believe me, you aren't a failure and you can make a difference in what you believe in.

You haven't given a lot of information there, but I would say that many people deem themselves failures when in fact that is not the case|

It is because they have unfortunately been conned by society's judgments of what constitutes success - that they make a certain amount of money, that they dress a certain way, that they talk a certain way, that they behave a certain way in a social group, drive a given type of car, or conform to any other innumerable externals that the media and charismatic leaders of groups deem as marks of human value|

Be honest, good, loving and kind, and that in my books makes a successful person, no matter what else you do or have|

And there is another thing too, a poisonous lie have been foisted on our society that, for girls and women, there is a dichotomy between being attractive and being a good person (or having a good personality)| - and that you are forced to choose between the two alternatives|

This dichotomy is purely an illusion and is an artificial social construct that has been foisted on the public (mainly by the media)|

I can't go into the philosophy of it, but beauty=goodness|

Aristotle said that the soul is the *form* of the body (the soul is not one thing within another as is commonly believed)|

So what is in the soul, radiates out to the body and is projected from the surface|

Now if a woman *appears* beautiful, but is evil inside, it is a beauty that is on the surface of the skin only (from which comes the rather erroneous maxim that beauty is only skin deep)|

But with a truly beautiful woman, her beauty has a *depth* to it in that it comes from deep within and radiates out|

So with a truly beautiful woman, her beauty is *three dimensional* whereas with the pseudo beauty of the evil woman, her beauty is *two dimensional.*

So many Hollywood stars and runway models have this two dimensional beauty|

I tell you that the most attractive women to me are what would be generally considered to be average, but there is an innocence, naturalness, and cleanness to their looks that make them *truly* beautiful, and this beauty necessarily comes from the virtue and goodness in their souls|

And going back to the failure subject, I overheard one SOB saying that another SOB said that I would never amount to anything in life|

So the thing is, you don't have to take to heart other people's judgments of you, especially if they are unkind people who like to hurt others, because in my books, such people are the true failures in life, no matter how big the sailboat they have|

Who says you are? Whoever they are, they are fools. No one is a failure as a person unless they wish to be. It is our failures and attempts that teach us what works and what doesn't. I would worry more about the perfectionists who never seem to make a mistake. When they fall, they go psychotic, when you and I fall, we get up, dust ourselves off and try again. Hang in there kiddo, the best is yet to be, don't give up.

that would depend on what your criteria for being a failure. Just because someone is not rich, college educated...etc does not mean that person is a failure.

You determine what you are, sit down and reevaluate your life. What are you passionate about? What have you been dying to pursue all these years?
Focus on that goal, feed it with ideas, and you will create something marvelous. Don't do what you think others want you to do.
You are not a failure, your still here on this Earth aren't you? Do something about it.

Please forget about this question.

Think of all the things you really want in life. What are they?
List on a piece of paper, and stick it on the wall near your computer where you'll see it and remind you from time to time.

You'll have it in the course of time.

If you focus on the negative things, you'll also have it.
That is why I'm asking you to forget about your question which is very negative.

You can be a success, only if you focus on what you WANT in life and GO FOR IT !!!

Good luck to you.
