Yes, he would have to be.
He's the only asian to have solidify star status while playing in the most competitive league in the world. There maybe talented asians playing overseas, but the amount of competition they face is nothing like the rigors of the NBA. For him to establish his presence and game to compete at a level high enough to challenge the likes of others in the league speaks volume.

Yes, but there is one guy who may be coming in next year. his name is Yi Jianlian. He is a great player and scouts are aleready talking to him. PROJECTED TOP 10! Yao Ming even said that he is a great player!
There is also sun ming ming who is like 7'8''

best asian player? probably although the maryland nighthawks have a 7 foot 9 asian player who is named sun sun kim (i think) who could be better if he improves on his speed and shooting. best player right now? hell no.
