I gained about 40 pounds with my pregnancy and after about 6 months I had lost 30 of it, without really trying. I didn't breastfeed either, or else it probably would have come off sooner. My suggestion is to definitely have fun with your pregnancy, eat a lot of what you want, just not all the time, like I did! As far as stretch marks go, I couldn't see any on my stomach the whole time I was pregnant, but that was only because my stomach had gotten so big and stretched out....after I gave birth I could see them, dark and purple..yuck!! But it has been two years now and they are white, can barely see them. Yes, if your mother got stretchmarks than it is a big possibility you will get them too! But remember to enjoy your pregnancy...you are 14 weeks along, what an amazing adventure you have ahead of you!! Hope this has helped and good luck!!

I am 22yrs old and pregnant with number 2. My mom got stretch marks and i never got any but i bought this stuff called tummy honey butter and used it like 3 times a day. . I think thats why I never got any. I had a nice body before getting pregnant with number 1 baby. I was 5"7 about 125-130. and gained about 25-30 pounds with both pregnancies. about 14pounds is lost the day you have the baby :) and the rest came off in about 2 or 3 months but i ate really healthy afterwards and breastfeed (which they say helps lose weight) although I got back to my original weight i didnt have the same body the skin takes a while to get firm again (and some peoples skin is always lose) i recomend using a corset or tummy firmer after you have the baby to get your skin to tighten and get your waist back. But everyone is differn't!! good luck and congrats :)

My daughter is 19 months old and I'm still trying to get all the weight off ( I still have about 10 lbs. to go). My stretch marks were pretty bad after I had my daughter because I was pretty slender before I was pregnant and I gained all my pregnancy weight right in my belly. They are almost completely gone now. You can only tell they are there if you get close and are really looking for them. I don't know about getting them as bad as your mother. My moms faded too but it took longer for hers to fade. Get some Palmer's Cocoa Butter lotion for Stretch Marks. I used it, it helps. I dont know anyone that has had a baby that can wear a 2 piece now. I'm sure there are people that can, but everybody I know (including myself) has that little fold on their belly that just makes wearing a 2 piece embarrassing. One of my friends kids is 5 and she still cant wear a 2 piece even though she lost all of her pregnancy weight and then some. But everybody is different. Just diet and exercise-you might be one of the lucky ones that looks good in a 2 piece after pregnancy.

Wow, what allot of worry. Walk with the baby, breastfeed, and reduce your calories back to your prepregnant style. Drink loads of water is is good for you and the baby. There is cream for the Stretch Marks apply daily and you'll have less (the rest do fade). Many moms wear bikinis again you just have to lose the weight and get tone again - try yoga. Don't worry about this kind of stuff enjoy the last few months of your life as a woman and not a mother.

I was back to my regular prepregnancy weight in 2 weeks.. buttt.. I had a c section, and have a really bad scar, and a very very very tiny pooch thingy above it. butttt.. a bikini bottom covers it 100%. I also don't have any stretch marks. buttt.. I got lucky. I know tons of people that never lost their baby weight, and had severe stretch marks from weeks 25 and on. I used Palmers tummy butter. I don't know if that's what did it, but I lovvveddd it. but my mom definitely got stretch marks .and they are sometimes genetic. buttt.. my dad's side of the family, some women were really lucky with pregnancies, I guess I got it from them. but good luck, and remember, no matter how you look, you got a baby out of it, and it's completely worth it. : )

Didn't get any stretch marks and got back to my normal weight about ten minutes after baby was born. Was in my normal size jeans the same day - just lucky I guess.

I 33 weeks pregnant I have only gained 26lb so far, and I am haveing a csection April 25th. I dont have any strech marks yet and I put cocoa butter on 3 times a day every day since I was well about 14 weeks. My mom didnt have strech marks but my sister did . so i think it just veries from person to person, but I would trust the cocao butters they have out . And think I eat healthier now then I did before I was pregnant.. Start now and it wont be difficult after the baby, Smaller portions less pasta more wheat bread, raisin bran cereal frosted mini wheats and lot and lot of water and milk everyday.

Good luck and congrats

Breastfeeding took off most of my pregnancy weight. I had gained 40lbs. My daughter is 2, I have about 15 lbs to lose to get back down to 118lbs., but most of it is pounds that have crept back on in the past year. I now work out 5 days a week and eat healthier. I only got stretch marks on my hips and boobs, and they were light and faded fast to just little white marks. my friend got REALLY bad stretch marks. Really big and really red all over her tummy, but she is totally skinny again. It just depends. Good luck!

appearantly longer than 11 years. im nonetheless attempting to lose the burden from my son 11 years in the past. no rather, i replace into approximately ninety seven pounds as quickly as I have been given pregnant and interior of three months i replace into 107. no longer undesirable. then 2 years later i've got been given pregnant lower back. this time it replace right into a woman. i never completly misplaced all that infant weight, and 3 years later yet another female, then 5 years later yet another female. so for my area, its less demanding to lose the burden after having a boy.

As for your weight question, if you breast feed that will help drop a lot of weight, you will actually feel your abdomin working when the baby is suckling. But then you need to do some moderate exercise and drink a lot of fluids.
