I'm lost! Ive a picture stuck when i start up and my desktop background wont change, can anybody help!!??

I've got this stupid picture of jermaine defoe which i downloaded from the internet stuck when i first log on. its not on anybody elses user. now i cant change it or my desktop background.

Go to 'system preferences' (desktop) and select either new, or your old settings.

Very simple to fix. Right click on your desktop, and click on properties. Next click on the Desktop tab. Then select a different picture from the list. Click Apply, then click OK.
