Your temp should go down by tomorrow or the day after. I have found temping to be very useful in getting to know my body. If if does not change in the next day or so, purchase a new thermometer, and see if they are reading the same temp. I have a Basal from Walgreens, I think it was like 6.00. It measures to the 0.01 degree. Really, you need to be using a basal thermometer and not a fever one!

I really believe it is your thermometer. I used a fever thermometer that always said the same reading at the same time of day 97.7. My fluid would change and my cervical position but my temp would always be the same. It was very frustrating. I could have been missing my ovulation by at least 2 to 3 days. I strongly suggest you get a basal body thermometer. It made the world of difference for me. I actually can see clear shifts sooner and better. Good Luck!

I think that's OK. My thermometer doesn't say Basal either. I've been temping for about 2 months now and toward the end of my cycle (like right now), I'll have my temp stay with 1/10th of a degree for a while. Right now it's been bouncing between 98.1 and 98.0. That's fine. Give it more time. In the next few weeks you should definitely see some changes. And make sure you're taking it at the same time every morning before you do anything.

I wouldn't worry. Your temperature should drop around the time your period starts. Some women experience this drop the day before they get their period, some a few days after. I do sometimes get temperatures that are the same for a few days. You may want to get hold of a new thermometer (or change the batteries in your current one) though.

hi, god this takes me back a year!! its a great exciting time but with it come disappointment anyway your cycle will run for x amount of days, on an average 28 day cycle you should start ovulating around the 11 day from the start of your period, there is only a few days in which you can fall pregnant and this is your most fertile time, during ovulation your temp will increase, or should, personally i didn't find mine did. There are websites that will calculate your best days, the dates given are estimates but it means you can have most of your fun in that window. you can also purchase ovulation kits on eBay at a fraction of the chemists cost, you need them cheaper as you go through loads. all the best

I personally do not use BBT to track my fertility, seems the more I "try" the less I succeed.
But it sounds to me like your thermo is faulty. Maybe not but that is what I would assume. Your temp should change. Try this ...jog in place for 5/10 minutes then take your temp again to see if it goes up or down. That definately should make it go up and it should be read on the thermo.

I would say, try a different thermometer. My friend had the same problem, bought a new thermometer (more expensive then the cheap 1st one) and now is able to chart fine...she's still not pg yet tho lol!
Good luck!
