Dude are you fore real?
1. Recording conversations in Washington DC with out consent or court order (illegal)
2. Sicking Hoover's FBI on political enemies (illegal)
3. Bombing Laos and Cambodia (illegal)
4. Refusing to turn over evidence (until the last minute)
Unlike today, the congressional investigations that nearly led to his impeachment were bi-partisan (and not just one person from the other side of the isle).
Those morons in Virginia put together legislation that has no teeth. A useless waste of tax payers time.
There's no apology for Nixon. The apology should be to the citizens of the U.S for having the second worst president in history.

That is true: Things were going on in his office that he wasn't aware of. But isn't it the job of the leader of the office or the company to know what's going on? Shouldn't the "buck" stop at Nixon? I still don't think Nixon was nearly the monster that he has been portrayed as, but at the same time, he is supposed to be in charge and if his people run amok, he should be the one responsible. There is no apology due as there is no apology due for slavery, but that's another story.

in the starting up, i idea this replaced right into a huge waste of time and power on the portion of the Virginia homestead, yet now i'm no longer so particular. After wondering about it, i do not imagine that's a foul idea in any respect. particularly because it replaced into no longer an "apology" yet a "fact of remorseful about." An apology implies concieved guilt and admission of duty; a fact of remorseful about would not. An apology will open the door for economic reparations, at the same time as a fact of remorseful about received't. And have self assurance me, that door to reparations will be tried any day now.... easily, i do not see a difficulty with all the former accomplice States issuing similar statements of remorseful about. that could want to effectively eliminate the drained old argument of "my tremendous-tremendous-tremendous-tremendous-grandfather replaced right into a slave, so that you OWE ME THIS AND THIS!" for sure, there'll be those which will say a fact of remorseful about - even an finished-blown apology - should not be adequate, and they are going to then attempt to open that door to reparations. in spite of the undeniable fact that it received't artwork. by ability of that aspect public opinion may have swung any incorrect way, and some thing else of the civilized united states will see that even after the former accomplice States have all issued "statements of remorseful about," there'll stay portion of the black community which will nevertheless want a handout - some thing for no longer some thing - and that portion of the community will ultimately be recognized for what that's, and could be scorned and left out. And get no longer some thing, that's basically what they deserve. sure, slavery replaced into an abomination and a blight on the face of our tremendous united states, yet in case you want to position blame for it and get an apology from someone over it, then you definately'd more beneficial useful be prepared to position the blame squarely in the laps of our Founding Fathers who allowed a structure that did not outlaw slavery to be ratified, and also you would more beneficial useful assume the apology to come back from the U. S. authorities and not in any respect the Southern states. in spite of everything, once you're going to carry the ancestors responsible for the misdeeds of the useless, then you definately'd more beneficial useful bypass after the federal authorities because they're the ancestors of those accountable.

Virginia apologized for slavery because slavery was a crime that old-time Virginians inflicted on innocent people who hadn't done anything wrong.
Nixon did dishonest and illegal things and received his just comeuppance for doing wrong.
I agree with the person who said you're mixing apples and oranges. The two situations are not even remotely similar.

Are you seriously comparing Nixon's demise with slavery? I'd give him and his supporters the "apology" they so richly deserve, except that it would be in violation of the Community Guidelines. Get a clue.

Do the liberals ever apologize for anything:
-That worthless clinton who sold pardons, was impeached, and was worthless
-Urban renewal that just made the government a slum lord
-gun control that has never been a good deterrent of crime
-Al sharpton calling cops racist in the tawana brawley case (a whole case built on lies)
Further proof why we should elect hillary and let another clinton make a joke out of the whitehouse.

After the funeral he had....my goodness they pratically sainted the dude during his funeral. He went out pretty good.
A few more decades of conservative rewrites and we'll eventually have a new Richard M. Nixon aircraft carrier.
