i dont have a SATA port on my computer so i was wondering if theres a good external SATA adapter?

I want to MOD my Hitachi 78Fk DVD Drive (xbox 360) so thats why i need a SATA adapter

Yes .. but all they are is an internal PCI card with connectors that may be accessed externally.
Then you need an external SATA drive to go with it.

You can buy a internal sata card or an external enclosure like one of these they usually connect via USB:
