the tumble dryer must be the simplist bit of machinery ever built. UNPLUG MACHINE. Unscrew the back, take the bolt in the middle off, that is the axle. Take off the back. the heating element is at the bottom, check for loose wires. if you see a break in the element order a new one from a supplier. It's cheaper to buy a new one than to get a repair man.

ye not a great problem depending on which make it is, just make sure you remove the plug before attempting any repairs. But is it the heater at fault or the thermostat's, they are the things that often go and are cheaper than a heater unit.
I'd change them 1st and see if that cures the problem, if it does, then make sure in future you keep the filters clean, as this is often the reason why they go.

As long as you are aware that if the element is fitted incorrectly and is the cause of an accident to people or property you are liable to be sued for damages and may be convicted of criminal assault or worse.

Yes, it's very easy. You can get the element from a local store cheaper than a new machine.

I doubt it, but you could try. Unplug it first before trying to take out the old one - you'll need the number off it to buy another one.
