Go to the doctor and ask him or her to check your hormone levels for the pituitary, and thyroid.
This could be another reason.

The best, THE ABSOLUTE BEST, great laxative is a product called Smooth Move Tea. The best way to use it is just before bedtime, heat up a full cup of water, put the tea bag in the water for at least 15 minutes, and then squeeze gently on the bag until the bag seems dry. I take it every day and for the first time in my life, I am regular. Castor Oil didn't do that much good. Just in case, if this is a first time for you to use Smooth Move and because you don't know how your body will react to it, just use one bag the first time. If that doesn't seem to work then use two bags, and the next night, go back to using two. I take it without sugar and you quickly can get used to the flavor. Good luck.

You probably have dysfunction with the nerves that control you GI. If you have a pinched nerve then you are not to get relief until you remove the interference.
Apricots are a good natural laxative. But seek out a chiropractor to make sure your nervous system is functioning. Medicals docs will only shove medicine down your throat instead of taking care of the problem.

I think you're thinking of "castor oil"...."castrol" is a brand of motor oil for your car, and you definitely don't want to ingest it!
If you're on chronic pain meds, make sure you drink enough water and try the powdered fiber you stir into water to keep you regular.
If this is a one-time problem and nothing seems to be helping, then go to the drugstore and buy an enema....you'll poop.

You should see your doctor again, there might be some other problem causing this. You shouldn't have to keep eating laxatives to maintain your health. If it is just that then eat more fibre, and less cheese and dairy. Excercise more and try chewing gum. And be careful that all of this doesn't catch up on you when your out to dinner or on the bus.

When my daughter had this problem, her doctor recommended Mineral Oil. It worked so well, and quickly. I would not be certain how much an adult should take safely. He had me give it to her with her sippy cup of juice or milk.
